چکیده
Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is an increasingly popular fuel alternative of ships for reducing greenhouse emissions. The interest in LNG propulsion systems rapidly growing, yet certain important safety design and engineering issues remain poorly constrained. LNG-fuelled must be assessed terms the potential structural damage owing to collision accidents resulting spills, especially ship types that store storage tank within cargo hold. In this paper, accidental limit state (ALS) based assessment containership structures using nonlinear finite element methods studied at most unfavourable scenario collisions between a striking ship's bow struck tank, where full load condition standstill, while same size as has different loading conditions ballast condition, 50% partial with varying speed 0.5, 3, 6 9 knots. A hypothetical 9,000 TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit) was designed accordance requirements international transport standards, accommodating membrane-type located amidship. It found from present study inner side hull can damaged ship-ship collisions, current industrial guidelines designs are required amend apply ships.

A probabilistic model for accidental cargo oil outflow from product tankers in a ship-ship collision.
In risk assessment of maritime transportation, estimation of accidental oil outflow from tankers is important for assessing environmental impacts. However, there typically is limited data concerning the specific structural design and tank arrangement of ships operating in a given area. Moreover, there is uncertainty about the accident scenarios potentially emerging from ship encounters. This pa...

Despite the advantages of the plastic limit analysis of structures, this robust method suffers from some drawbacks such as intense computational cost. Through two recent decades, metaheuristic algorithms have improved the performance of plastic limit analysis, especially in structural problems. Additionally, graph theoretical algorithms have decreased the computational time of the process impre...
متن کاملPractical Implementation of Safety Verification in LNG Production Facilities
Many energy and production facilities are operating without clear formal safety requirements, which are considered the base for good process safety management practices. Safety requirements are typically specified during process design based on identified hazard scenarios. This paper proposes a practical framework and methods to systematically synthesize safety requirements based on qualitative...
متن کاملStudy on lockage safety of LNG-fueled ships based on FSA
In the present study, formal safety assessment (FSA) is introduced to investigate lockage safety of LNG-fueled ships. Risk sources during lockage of LNG-fueled ships in four typical scenarios, namely, navigation between two dams, lockage, anchorage, and fueling, are identified, and studied in combination with fundamental leakage probabilities of various components of LNG storage tanks, and simu...
